Physical

Physically, MACA students…

  • Are prepared to practice the principles of healthy, moral living.
  • Know how to treat their bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit.
  • Have acquired an appreciation for sports, activities, and physical fitness.
  • Have had multiple opportunities for physical education and activities.
  • Have an understanding of their physical body and its workings.
  • Have been taught the responsibility of using God-given physical abilities for His glory.

Physical Education

At MACA, our Physical Education program provides students with a variety of learning opportunities in an environment that emphasizes fitness, leadership, and fun. While developing physical skills and overall health, students also learn the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and personal responsibility. These qualities not only build character but also prepare students to use their God-given abilities to honor Him in every area of life.

Health and Wellness

MACA’s Health and Wellness program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to make wise, healthy choices that honor God. Our curriculum goes beyond physical fitness to include emotional and mental well-being, first aid and safety, and practical health skills. As students mature, they are introduced to topics such as personal responsibility, nutrition, human development, pregnancy, and childbirth from a biblical perspective. Through both classroom learning and physical activity, students are encouraged to understand the connection between mind, body, and spirit, and to apply these lessons to daily life. Ultimately, our goal is for students to develop lifelong habits that promote physical health, emotional resilience, and Christ-centered decision-making.

Weight Training

Students participating in weight training have the opportunity to build strength, endurance, and confidence through a structured fitness program. Twice a week, students train at Health Unlimited Gym, where they learn proper form, safe lifting techniques, and how to use a variety of equipment. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, students follow a progressive workout program that balances strength training, cardio, and flexibility exercises. The program is tailored to encourage personal growth and measurable progress, while also teaching lifelong fitness habits. In addition to physical training, students learn about nutrition, goal setting, and the importance of overall wellness, equipping them to take ownership of their health.
