Mrs. Sweigert’s 2nd grade class learned about the Easter story and Jesus’ Resurrection this week with many colorful Easter Eggs. Each egg was filled with a small object representing a piece of the Easter story. For example, a grape was placed in one egg to represent the Last Supper. 3 dimes were placed in another egg to represent when Judas betrayed Jesus and then returned the 30 pieces of silver back to the priests and elders. Another egg was filled with a flower, another with a piece of rope, and another with cloth. The students took time to read each piece of the story out of their Bible and discuss what each egg and object inside represented. They enjoyed the activity and had a better understanding of Jesus’ Resurrection once they were finished!
