2017 MIAC Championships

MACA Sports News: Congratulations to Mount Airy Christian Academy’s junior varsity boys basketball team on their 44-32 victory over Perry Hall in Saturday’s Maryland Independent Athletic Conference (MIAC) Championship game. Junior, Chris Moore, and freshman, Nathan Stein, were named to the All-Tournament Team and sophomore, Peter Kelly, was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

Congratulations to MACA’s varsity girls basketball team on their 2nd place finish in the MIAC tournament. Sophomore, Erin Eppich and senior, Katie Fleming were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Lastly, congratulations to MACA’s varsity boys basketball team on their 48-46 win over Maryland School for the Deaf in the MIAC Championship game. Juniors, Austin Finch and Will Brethauer, were named to the All-Tournament Team and senior, Andrew Stein, was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

Saturday’s Maryland Independent Athletic Conference finals capped an outstanding 2016-17 MIAC basketball season in which all five of MACA’s basketball teams (middle school and high school) reached the finals and three teams brought home championship banners! Congratulations to all the athletes and coaches. We are so proud of you all! To God be the glory!
