Homecoming 2017

“We’ve got spirit! Yes, we do! We’ve got spirit! How ‘bout you?”

Friday, January 6th concluded Mount Airy Christian Academy’s 2017 Spirit Week! Friday was a full day consisting of ongoing events. Students and faculty showed up in their MACA gear; we even had a few little lions prowling around. In the afternoon the entire student body gathered together in the gym for a pep rally that got students cheering and dancing. This was a great way to get students fired up for the homecoming games that were later that afternoon.

Games were hosted at the Glenwood Recreation Center. JV boys, varsity girls and varsity boys competed against Greater Grace which lead to very competitive, entertaining games. Congratulations to the JV Boys and Varsity Boys who gained victory in their Homecoming games. Our Lady Lions lost a hard fought game by only a few points. Well done, teams!

Finally, after the Varsity Boys game was over, the 2017 Homecoming Court was announced. Each high school grade was represented by a male and female. The senior class had six representatives, three male and three female. From the six representatives, a King and Queen were voted on by the entire student body. Congratulations to King Willis Gammell and Queen Rebekah Sefton!
